After the game against Valencia, where Vinicius Jr was racially abused by Valencia fans, the Real Madrid forward took to social media to slam La Liga for their lack of action in taking a stand against racism.
Surprisingly, La Liga president Javier Tebas took a swipe at Vinicius for his post.
“We have tried to explain to you what La Liga is and what it can do in cases of racism, but you have not shown up to either of the two agreed dates that you yourself requested,” Tebas tweeted, as translated by Diario AS.
“Before criticising and insulting La Liga, you need to inform yourself properly Vinícius.
“Don’t let yourself be manipulated and make sure you understand the work we have been doing together.”
Vinicius then responded back with another post: “Once again, instead of criticizing racists, the president of LaLiga appears on social media to attack me… I’m not your friend to talk about racism. I want actions and punishments. Hashtags don’t move me.”
It’s a shame that Vinicius is seen as the victim after being racially abused yet again.
