Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez spoke out against the racist abuse suffered by Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr.

However, the Barca boss doesn’t think that the red  card should be rescinded.

According to Xavi, the red card is a different incident from the racist abuse Vinicius Jr suffered.

“I’m surprised that Vini Jr’s red card [against Valencia] got annulled,” Xavi has told the media, via Cope.

“It’s undeniable that there was an aggression [coming from the player]. I have made my position regarding racism clear, but I think the red card has nothing to do with it.”
