Not many history-making players have done what Vinicius Jr did

Vinicius Jr sat out Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano.

The 22-year-old was a victim of racist abuse in Sunday’s clash against Valencia, and also picked up a slight muscle injury.

The Brazilian was given some time off by the club, and he watched the game against Rayo at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Vinicius sat next to Florentino Perez in the presidential lounge at the Bernabeu, and El Chiringuito’s Josep Pedrerol was surprised with Florentino Perez’s gesture.

Pedrerol has said about that: “There are players who have made history at Real Madrid but never got to sit with Florentino in the privileged box. It’s a striking image.”

Vinicius Jr has garnered support from players all over, and Karim Benzema and Rodrygo dedicated both their goals to him.
