Real Madrid get strange ranking in latest global football rankings

FiveThrityEight has released their latest global power rankings for football clubs in the world, and there are some surprises.

The top spot is occupied by Manchester City, who are set to play in the finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup.

Bayern Munich are ranked just behind the Citizens, even if they didn’t exactly cruise to their latest Bundesliga title like many would have expected.

Barcelona are ranked third, while Real Madrid come in fourth.

It’s a surprise that Real Madrid are ranked below Barcelona, with Barcelona exiting the Champions League in the group stage, while Real Madrid reached the semi-final.
