Marco Asensio is on the verge of leaving Real Madrid, and is set to leave the club as a free agent this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t want the 27-year-old to leave as he sees him as a game-changer off the bench, and has urged him to say. But Asensio has made up his mind about an exit.

Real Madrid have tabled a contract offer for Asensio, but the Spaniard has so far refused to sign it.

According to Marca, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is doing everything to convince Marco Asensio to join his team.

However, Asensio is waiting to finalise things with PSG.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has reported that the 27-year-old’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is pushing his client toward Paris.

Asensio has been impressive for Real Madrid this season despite his limited minutes for the first team. His tally of 12 goals in 50 games is his joint best in Madrid colours. He also registered 8 assists this term.
