The internet has been agog with reports of Karim Benzema moving to oil-rich Saudi Arabia.
The 35-year-old has been offered a mind-blowing deal to dump Real Madrid for Saudi.
Reports have claimed that Benzema will accept the Saudi offer. But the Frenchman recently decried it as ‘internet news’.
Carlo Ancelotti has now reacted to the news surrounding Benzema’s transfer to Saudi Arabia.
“Karim Benzema? He has a one-year contract. So, here we have no doubt [he will stay],” Carlo Ancelotti said in his press conference for the Bilbao game.
“I agree with Benzema. Internet is not the reality.
“The legends of this club have to retire at Real Madrid. This is what I believe and what the club believes. But the player maybe doesn’t think the same.”
Speaking on Harry Kane rumours, Ancelotti said: “I’m sure you all are curious to see what will happen next season. But Kane is a Tottenham player and we have to respect this.”
