Ferland Mendy endured an injury-prone season, and missed more than half of the season due to injuries.
Mendy has again picked up a tibia injury which has forced him to withdraw from the French national team squad.
The Real Madrid left-back was initially included in France’s 23-man squad for the Euro qualifiers, but after the injury blow, France was forced to call up Marseille midfielder Jordan Veretout.
Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni got France call-ups, and following the call-up to Veretout, Camavinga will now replace Mendy at left-back.
Mendy is expected to recover on time to join Real Madrid for pre-season.
Real Madrid are contemplating signing a new left-back for next season, so Camavinga can continue in his role as a midfielder.
