Real Madrid have updated their squad numbers for the 2023-24 season, and there have been some major shifts.

Vinicius Jr. has vacated his No. 20 shirt, and is now officially Real Madrid’s new No. 7. The Brazilian gets the shirt following the departure of Eden Hazard.

Rodrygo has also gotten the No. 11 shirt vacated by Marco Asensio. Rodrygo formerly wore the No. 21 shirt.

The No. 7 has been an iconic one at Real Madrid for some years now. Legends Raul Gonzalez and Cristiano Ronaldo wore the iconic jersey. However, Eden Hazard wore it for 7 years, and it just didn’t work well for the Belgian.

Vinicius Jr has been brilliant for the Los Blancos in recent years, and deserves the No. 7 jersey.
