Kylian Mbappe has put every big football club in Europe on alert, after news that he will not consider renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, emerged on Monday evening.
The Frenchman is currently tied to the French champions until 2024, with an option for a further year, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, he has decided against staying with PSG beyond next season.
The implication of this is that PSG will do all they can to sell the forward this summer, as they have no intention of letting him go for free next year.
Romano said on Monday: “Kylian Mbappé has informed PSG of his decision: he’ll NOT trigger the option to extend current contract until 2025, it means that deal would expire next June 2024 — as L’Équipé called.
“PSG position: NO plan to lose Kylian for free.
“Sign new deal now or he could be sold.”
Real Madrid are favourites to sign Mbappe.
