Real Madrid have splashed a massive €103m to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
The Los Blancos beat Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of the 19-year-old midfielder.
Kroos has now reacted to the signing, which has now beat the fee paid to sign Eden Hazard.
“Jude Bellingham is a very top player, who many teams wanted due to his quality and age,” Toni Kroos said in his podcast.
“I usually have great confidence in our decision-makers. If Real Madrid has spent so much, this is a very good transfer for us.
“I have seen highlights of Dortmund, especially in the Champions League. He usually played very, very well. And if he does that here too, that’s a good transfer. If not, then not.
“€103m transfer fee? We now also had someone who came for a lot of money and virtually let his career rest. A lot of money and I think everyone would say in retrospect: That was not such a good transfer.
“But now let’s start from the positive.”
