English players tend to always play in their league, especially their best players.
However, 19-year-old Jude Bellingham has opted to play for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Bellingham was courted by Liverpool and Manchester City, but it was Real Madrid who eventually sealed the deal for the midfielder.
Explaining his decision, Bellingham said: “All the players at England camp kept asking me to go to the Premier League or join their clubs but I wanted to play outside of my comfort zone. This is where I wanted to be,” Jude Bellingham explained when asked why he chose to come to Real Madrid.
“I was sold when Real Madrid came to my house to meet us. It was huge because they were great with my family, they didn’t try to manipulate them.
“It was great moment, goosebumps…you dream of those moments as a kid!”.
“Money was never a factor in my career, this is the best club in the world.
“I was at the final when Madrid beat Liverpool, that was a huge factor.
“I have always been a fan of Real Madrid. I have watched many games. This is a very attractive team.”
