FIFA president Gianni Infantino has vowed to take drastic actions after the racial abuse suffered by Vinicius Jr last month, when Real Madrid played Valencia.

Infantino has appointed Vinicius Junior as a head of special FIFA anti-racism committee, Reuters reports.

The committee is made up of players who will suggest punishments for discriminatory behaviour in football – racial abuse in particular.

Vinicius has been a victim of racist abuse multiple times, but the one against Valencia went global.

Infantino has stated: “There will be no more football with racism in it.

“The games should be stopped immediately when it happens. Enough is enough.”
