Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele has named Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy as the toughest he has come up against.

According to Dembele, Mendy is very fast and strong and knows his game too well.

“Ferland Mendy [is the toughest defender for me],” Ousmane Dembele told Marca.

“He’s a very strong defender, and fast. It’s hard to get past him. He knows me very well, which makes it more difficult for me.”

Dembele has come up against Mendy a number times in the La Liga. Real Madrid have won 4 games when the two played against each other, losing just one.

Mendy had a season filled with injuries, and his future at the club is quite uncertain. The Los Blancos have already signed back former player Fran García from Rayo Vallecano.
