Joselu joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan from Espanyol.

With Karim Benzema departing the club, Joselu was signed up to fill that void.

Real Madrid are expected to sign another striker, but Joselu has said he can offer something different to coach Carlo Ancelotti next season.

He said, “He’s one of the best coaches in the world, if not the best.

“I’ve had many coaches in my career, but I think he can contribute a lot to me at a tactical level and especially in play because, offensively, I’m a different player to those they have on the squad.

“Everything he teaches me and I can learn in the first months of preseason will be beneficial.”

On his goalscoring, Joselu added: “It’s something you’re born with. It’s a gift that every footballer has and thank God in my last seasons I’ve scored a lot of goals and I’m very happy for that and for the Zarra Award because it’s hard to score goals in the Primera Division.”
