Report: Luka Modric will sign new Real Madrid contract on one condition

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is soon to be a free agent following the expiry of his contract.

Modric has been given a mouthwatering offer from Saudi Arabia, which he’s yet to accept or reject.

While Karim Benzema chose the offer from Saudi Arabia, Luka Modric is rather prepared to play on with Real Madrid next season. However, he has one condition.

AS editor Tomas Roncero has reported that Modric will resist huge offers from Saudi Arabia to sign a new one-year contract with the Los Blancos, but he will only do so if Real Madrid accept him to continue to play for Croatia.

The 37-year-old wants to play at next year’s Euros in Germany, but Real Madrid want him to retire as he’s soon to be 38.
