Real Madrid has confirmed that Luka Modric has signed a one-year contract with the club, to extend his stay at Real Madrid.

Luka Modric had a massive offer from Saudi Arabia that would have by far made him one of the highest paid players in the world, buy Modric opted to remain with Real Madrid.

Modric posted on social media, shortly after the deal was confirmed: “Home Sweet Home.”

The 37 year-old playmaker joined Real Madrid 11 years ago from Tottenham and has since won everything in the game. He’s one of the most decorated players in the world, and has also won the Ballon d’Or.

Last season, Modric played 52 games for Real Madrid, showing that be can still contribute at a high level.
