Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde was involved in a fracas with Villarreal’s Alex Baena back in April.
Valverde claimed that Baena insulted his pregnant wife at the time, but Baena denied the claim.
Valverde punched the Villarreal man in the face in the car park for alleged derogatory comments about his wife and a child.
According to Diario AS, the judge reviewing the case recommended that Valverde be banned for a total of five games.
Valverde would miss the Getafe, Athletic, Almeria, Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad.
The decision was made based on a review of statements from both players and the police report, with Baena having reported the matter to the authorities.
