Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly accepted to coach the Brazil national team, and is expected to leave next year for the Brazil post.

According to reports, the Italian has recommended Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso to replace him at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The ex-Real Madrid midfielder has impressed in his first managerial stint, and is being tipped to take over from Ancelotti.

Okdiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito, said: “Ancelotti has recommended him for Real Madrid when asked.

“Carletto has one year left on the contract and we will see if he does it. The recommendation is a person who has been a player of Real Madrid, who is successful outside of Spain and who falls very well into the leadership of Real Madrid, not only as a coach and former player, but by the image.

“I am obviously referring to Xabi Alonso.

“Ancelotti will not continue beyond 2024 and if things are not going well he may fall before June 30. If Villarreal did not perform the miracle at the last minute, allowing Madrid to be second, maybe he would not have continued.”
