New Barcelona signing Ilkay Gundogan has revealed his desire to beat Real Madrid.

Gundogan who just signed up for Barcelona last month, has admitted he’d have a special joy if he beats Real Madrid.

“Beating [Real] Madrid is the most special joy one can experience as a Barca player,” Ilkay Gundogan has told the media during his Barcelona unveiling.

“What we want is to beat Madrid, with or without Mbappe. To win, the best thing to do is to focus on ourselves and not look at others.”

Gundogan will indeed have a taste of what losing the El Clasico looks like, in no distant time.
