Karim Benzema left Real Madrid for Saudi Arabia this summer, as the veteran forward was snapped up by Al-Ittihad.

ESPN pundits have warned Real Madrid that they will struggle next season, if they fail to sign a prolific striker to replace Karim Benzema.

The Los Blancos have signed Joselu as a back-up striker, but may not sign another striker this summer, as they are waiting to sign Kylian Mbappe.

The pundits however likened Real Madrid’s situation to Bayern Munich, who struggled for goals after selling Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona.

“It smells like Bayern Munich without Robert Lewandowski last season,” one pundit argues.

“They thought they had goals here, they had goals there and decided to go with Choupo-Moting. Well, the whole thing was a disaster.”
