Real Madrid lost five players at the end of last season.
Karim Benzema decided to move to Saudi Arabia, while Marco Asensio moved to PSG. Real Madrid also offloaded Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz and Jesus Vallejo.
Real Madrid defender Eder Militao, has revealed that the exit of Benzema affected the dressing room the most.
“Benzema’s exit? Of course, we were upset that he left. For me, he’s the best number 9 in the world. But life goes on, we now have to structure ourselves again,” Militao said.
Indeed, Benzema will be missed sorely. The club has signed up 33-year-old Joselu as a makeshift replacement, but Joselu is nowhere near the veteran striker.
