PSG have never won the Champions League in their history and have only managed to reach the final once, despite all their outlay spent on signing world-class players.

Even with a front three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr, the Parisians never got close to tasting Champions League success.

Former Barcelona star Neymar, believes gathering superstar players may not be enough to win the Champions League, and referenced the famous Galactico era.

“Galacticos [Real Madrid’s superstars of the 2000s] never won the Champions League,” Neymar told Que Papinho.

“We have a very strong team. Myself, Messi and Mbappe are the best in the world, we know it, but it wasn’t meant.

“Obviously, we wanted to win [the Champions League] but sometimes football isn’t good for you.”
