Chelsea have been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde. Although, nothing have come out of such report.
According to Defensa Central, Chelsea’s new manager Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer of Federico Valverde, and has urged Chelsea to try and get the Uruguayan.
Valverde is valued over a €100 million, and Pochettino is keen on seeing the deal happen.
Pochettino wants Valverde at Stamford Bridge, and he believes the 24-year-old Uruguayan international can do wonders for them in the centre of the park.
Pochettino has a young squad, and he also thinks Valverde can be the leader of their ongoing project.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have no interest in offloading Valverde, or even Aurelien Tchouameni who is also attracting interest from Premier League clubs.
