New Real Madrid signing Joselu has said he is delighted to be back at Real Madrid.

Joselu was a Castilla player as a youngster, and only joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan from Espanyol.

Speaking from Real Madrid’s US pre-season base, Joselu said: “I’m really happy to be back. A lot of things I’ve experienced here are coming back to me.

“Some things are new, like the team-mates, and I’m adapting very quickly. I’m very pleased and happy to be here again.

“We know the quality the players have and the level at every training session. The intensity is at its highest and we all want to win in the matches and in the possessions games. It’s great to share the pitch with these top players.

“You have to enjoy life. I’m at a point in my career where I’m enjoying every minute and every second of what I’m going through. I’m experiencing something new 12 years on.

“I’ve matured a lot both personally and professionally. I’ve got a family with children and life looks at you in a different way. I was a kid when I left here and I fulfilled my dream of making my debut for Real Madrid. I’m a different player now, more experienced and with more knowledge that has enabled me to come back.”

Joselu proved last season that he’s indeed a top striker, after scoring 16 goals in 34 La Liga games.
