Carlo Ancelotti will be in charge of the Real Madrid team until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
The Italian has just a year left on his contract, but hasn’t been offered a new contract.
Ancelotti is poised to take up the role of Brazil’s next manager from next year, and it’s yet to be seen if he’d be offered a new Real Madrid contract.
When asked if he could actually be open to extending his contract with Los Blancos and ending his agreement with Brazil, the Italian said: “I’m in no hurry to renew, because I have a contract. I have total confidence in the club. Let’s see what happens this season.
“I think the season will go well, we have a lot of confidence because the squad has improved, although we have lost a fundamental player like Karim [Benzema], a club legend. We have a very young squad and we are convinced that they will give us a lot of joy.”
