Real Madrid started their pre-season campaign with a 3-2 victory over AC Milan.

The Los Blancos will face Manchester United next, and new Real Madrid signing Arda Guler is expected to miss this tie.

The 18-year-old signing from Fenerbahce was also absent from the AC Milan game.

Guler is believed to have missed Real’s victory over Milan after feeling discomfort in his right leg leading up to that game.

Although Guler’s absence was said to be merely precautionary, he also won’t feature against Manchester United.

The Turkish talent was absent from training on Monday and it now looks unlikely that he’d feature in Houston.

Real Madrid won’t want to risk exacerbating a minor issue by rushing him back.

Guler could be back for games against Barcelona and Juventus scheduled this summer before they face Athletic Club in their La Liga opener on 12 August.
