Barcelona were 3-0 leaders against Real Madrid, in the friendly game played against the Los Blancos in the US.
It was a shocking result, as Carlo Ancelotti’s men were favourites to win the tie.
Ousmane Dembele had given Barca the lead early in the first-half, while Vinicius Jr missed a penalty almost immediately after.
Barca would go on to score two late goals to seal a 3-0 victory.
Speaking after the game, Barca boss admitted that the score didn’t reflect the true nature of the game.
After the game, Xavi said: “I think the result could have been different. It’s misleading. The result is very favourable, but it doesn’t mean we’ve had a great game. Madrid has a much larger squad than ours.
“They were bringing out players and they have a range of possibilities. They have a great squad. I’m satisfied with how we competed, but there are many things that need to be improved and, in many moments, we resembled what we want to be.”
