Carlo Ancelotti had revealed that Ferland Mendy picked up another injury in Real Madrid’s 3-0 defeat to Barcelona.

Mendy had a terrible last season, as he was injured for more than half of the campaign.

Ancelotti said after the El Clasico defeat: “Mendy has a discomfort in the ischium. He was fine so far and I hope it’s nothing serious.”

Sources now claim that the injury is worse than first feared.

Per Onda Cero, Dembele will be out for at least one month after tests on his hamstring revealed the reoccurrence of an injury.

Mendy will return to Spain for further tests and to continue his recovery.

Fran Garcia is expected to contribute much this season, and there are talks that Real Madrid may consider offloading Mendy following his persistent injury troubles.
