Real Madrid signed teenage sensation Arda Guler from Turkish side Fenerbahce, for a fee believed to be around €20m.

However, Real Madrid are now considering deregistering Arda Guler for the first-half of the season.

Guler had picked up an injury, and it doesn’t seem like he’d be back to action anytime soon.

The youngster has been released from Real Madrid’s US preseason tour due to a knee injury.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Guler could undergo surgery – which would mean him being sidelined for five months, if he was to go under the knife.

If the surgery does take place, Real Madrid would deregister Guler and replace him on the senior squad. Guler will then be re-registered for the second-half of the season once he is fully fit.
