Real Madrid had a poor end to their pre-season, after losing back to back matches to Barcelona and Juventus – and conceding six goals in those games.

Ancelotti has claimed he’s not worried about the pre-season results and performance, but only about the defensive side.

Ancelotti said: “I would give it a six (out of ten). Offensively, I’m not worried. We’ve generated a lot, in general.

“I think we’ve been in control of the game in the four friendlies. I’m more worried about the defensive side.

“We are not used to this defensive fragility. The defensive aspect needs to be improved, we conceded a lot of goals. There has been a lack of balance and we need to fix that.

“It’s an easy problem to solve. Lowering the defensive block a bit could be a solution.”
