Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has given a positive update on summer signing Arda Guler.

The 18-year-old picked up a knee injury last month, and initial reports ruled him out for about three months, as he was expected to undergo surgery.

That may not be the case anymore as the youngster is now responding well to treatment.

Ancelotti has revealed that the Turkish wonderkid won’t be out for so long.

“It’s hard to talk about the medical aspect, but it [Arda Guler’s injury] is not too serious.

“There’s a little problem in his meniscus. We’re assessing if he should undergo surgery or go for conservative treatment.

“I think he will miss around a month.”
