Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano has said he is eager to see PSG star Kylian Mbappe join Real Madrid.

Mbappe has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, and the 24-year-old wants Madrid and no club else to be his next destination.

The France superstar is in the final year of his PSG contract, and following his refusal to extend his contract, Mbappe has been banished to train with the PSG B squad this week.

For Valdano, he’s keen on Mbappe joining Real Madrid anytime soon.

Speaking from Luque, Paraguay, Valdano told Efe: “If people are still angry with him, don’t worry, I’ll pick him up at the airport.

“At the moment it is not a case. It is, for now, a non-case. I hope it becomes a case…”
