Eder Militao started the 2-0 win against Athletic Bilbao, but was subbed off shortly after half-time, with Antonio Rudiger coming on for him.

The Brazilian lost balance on a slippery pitch and was unable to get off the ground for some time. He was eventually subbed off, as he winced in pain.

There are fears that it could be a bad injury, and that he may have torn his ACL.

Speaking about the Brazilian after the game, Ancelotti said: “Militao has suffered a sprained knee. It doesn’t look good. We are going to evaluate it in the next few hours. I hope it’s nothing serious.

“Torn ACL? We can’t rule it out either.”
