Real Madrid fans are pleased with Jude Bellingham, not only for his debut performance at the club, but also his action after his debut.
After the game against Athletic Bilbao where he scored on his debut, Bellingham addressed the Real Madrid fans in Spanish – something Gareth Bale never did.
“Hello Madridistas, today I played my first match, won my first game and scored my first goal. Hala Madrid!” Bellingham said in Spanish.
Bale had a poor reputation at the club due to his nonchalant attitude towards the Spanish language and culture.
La Liga TV host Semra Hunter praised Bellingham after his attempt at Spanish, and said he was born to play for Real Madrid.
“Bellingham has already won the heart of Real Madrid fans and he’s becoming a darling of Spanish football in general, they say he was born to play for Real Madrid and they never say this except for the very best talents,” Hunter said.
Indeed, Bellingham will easily be loved at Real Madrid. He’s going to be a club legend at this pace.
