Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois picked up an ACL injury just before the start of the season.
Real Madrid have confirmed that Thibaut Courtois has successfully undergone surgery on his knee to fix his ACL injury.
Real Madrid released a club statement, thus: “Our player Thibaut Courtois has been successfully operated on today for a rupture in the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee by Dr. Manuel Leyes, under the supervision of the Real Madrid Medical Services.
“Courtois will begin its recovery process in the coming days.”
Courtois is expected to miss most part of the season, and could be back in April or May next year.
Eder Militao suffered a similar injury during the game against Athletic Bilbao, and is expected to undergo surgery as well.
