Vinicius Jr got his first goal of the season, as Real Madrid defeated Almeria 3-1.

The Los Blancos came from a goal down to win the game, with Vinicius Jr scoring the third goal.

Speaking after the game, the Brazilian star said: “We played really well from the start. We conceded the goal but we kept up the rhythm that we showed in the last game, and that’s important at the start of the season because teams find it hard to handle us.

“We have to keep this up because it’s very important to win games so we can be successful this season. The best thing about it was our press and everyone’s top commitment.”

Vinicius was assisted by Jude Bellingham for his first goal of the season.

Vinicius has admitted he hopes to have a good connection on the pitch with Bellingham, just like he had with Karim Benzema.

Vinicius said of his goal: “I got a bit lucky but I’m really pleased to have scored my first goal this season. I hope it’s the first of many.

“I hope it’ll be like my connection with Karim, which led to loads of goals and assists.”
