Real Madrid have been linked with a move to sign Barcelona player Ansu Fati.
Last week, journalist Tomas Roncero had claimed Real Madrid should make a move to sign Ansu Fati, emphasising that the 20-year-old would form a brilliant trio with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
Carlo Ancelotti responded by hailing the talent of the Barcelona youngster.
“Ansu Fati? Big talent. He will have a great future,” Carlo Ancelotti had said at his press conference.
This didn’t sit well with Xavi, who hoped it was a joke.
Xavi was asked about the rumour shortly afterwards: “It’s a joke, right? I’ve already said that Ansu is Barca’s heritage… )”
Before Ancelotti’s comment, Xavi had claimed Fati was available for sale, and had failed to give the young forward enough playing opportunities.
Interestingly, Fati would really work well with Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.
