Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has admitted Luka Modric is unhappy about his current situation.

Modric, who has always been a regular player for Real Madrid, is yet to start a single game this season, and has been introduced from the bench in the first two games of the season.

Ahead of the weekend clash away at Celta Vigo, Ancelotti said: “It is an unusual situation for him. He is not playing regularly.

“He is not happy, but he is very well. He can play, we have no problem, he will contribute and he will.

“It is a particular situation. It will add up this season as it has in others.”
