It was a difficult evening for Real Madrid away at Celta Vigo, as the Los Blancos could only muster a 1-0 victory.

It had to take an 81st minute goal from Jude Bellingham to win this tie.

The game should have been much easier had Rodrygo scored his penalty kick in the 68th minute.

The young Brazilian scuffed his penalty, much to the frustration of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti has now revealed why he was angry after the penalty miss. According to the Italian, he passed instructions on who to take the penalty, and it wasn’t Rodrygo.

Ancelotti said: “There’s no leeway. I don’t know what happened. I told Valverde that Modrić should take the penalty and I don’t know what happened between them.

“Vini wasn’t there, he was the one who was supposed to take it. They decided that Rodrygo should take it because I don’t think Valverde was able to tell Modrić that he should have taken it.

“It angered me a bit, but it could have been a misunderstanding. I don’t think Valverde had time to tell them, I’ll look into it in the next few days”.
