Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr got off injured in the 1-0 win at Celta Vigo on Friday.

The Brazilian had a leg muscle problem, and had to be subbed off early in the game.

Thankfully, Vinicius Jr will only be sidelined for the next La Liga game at home to Getafe next Saturday.

Vinicius could also miss the start of Brazil’s World Cup qualifying campaign, as Brazil host Bolivia six days later before travelling to Peru on September 12.

Vinicius is expected back in action as Real Madrid host Real Sociedad on the 16th of September.

Speaking after the game against Celta Vigo, Ancelotti said the injury was not serious, and Vinicius would recover in time to return after the international break.

“Vinicius has had some muscle discomfort in his leg. It wasn’t a very serious thing. He tried to play but it was bothering him and we preferred to sub him,” the Italian told reporters.

  1. as a full time supporter of real madrid I would like to appeal to the madrid administration that please lets buy another striker before the end of the transfer window. already we have seen what has happened vin jr is injured we don’t have the good strikers lets bring in mbape who has shown interest to join our club before it is too late because when champions league starts our prayers will be over loaded they will be tired plus avoiding weakness if one is injured…I submit
