Summer signings Joselu and Jude Bellingham combined to score the only goal against Celta Vigo, as Real Madrid sealed their third win of the season.

Joselu was very pleased with the win and also helping Jude Bellingham with an assist.

He said: “We’re aware that any game in the Primera División is going to be difficult. Celta made it very difficult for us, they’ve got quality players.

“We were patient and waited for our moment. We missed a penalty, but made the most of the set-piece. I’m happy to be more involved with the team and to help set up Jude’s goal.”

The goal combination wasn’t a fluke, as Joselu had it all planned with Bellingham.

He said: “I’m really happy. I was sure I wanted to attack the near post and I couldn’t get a shot on goal. I tried to help it on because we’ve got some beasts who arrive in the back.

“I told Jude to stay close to me when there’s a dead ball or a long ball. He read it very well. I’m happy to play a part in that goal which was worth three points.”

On the team in general, Joselu concluded: “The team is full of confidence. We’ve got some of the highest quality players and they’re showing that they can be at their best at any given moment.

“It was important to pick up points in the three away games. We have to focus on the next game at the Bernabéu because it’s going to be a great game.”
