Kepa Arrizabalaga was in goal as Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 1-0 last Friday.

The Spaniard kept a clean sheet in his first game for Real Madrid, and it was a pretty decent start for the goalkeeper on loan from Chelsea.

Speaking after the game, Kepa said he was still settling in at the club, and was pleased with the victory and the clean sheet as well.

Kepa said: “It was a very important victory. We’ve played our first three games away from home and we’ve won three out of three.

“It was a tough game, Celta at home are very strong and it was their centenary. The fans were also right behind them. It was a performance characterised by maturity and patience. We’re happy to pick up the three points.

“I’ve tried to take things as calmly as possible. I’m gradually getting to know my teammates and what the coach expects of me. I’ve been with my teammates for a week and a few days now. I’m happy to contribute on the pitch.”

Kepa concluded: “I’m settling in gradually. I’m the newest arrival and I’m looking forward to helping out. I’m particularly happy with the clean sheet, the result and the three points.”
