Since the start of the season, Carlo Ancelotti has deployed his team in a 4-4-2 system – a new system at the Los Blancos.

So far, it’s been three wins from the first three games of the season.

Reports now claim that coach Carlo Ancelotti may rather revert to the 4-3-3 formation, following the injury to Vinicius Jr.

Multiple sources have claimed that Rodrygo will return to his preferred left-wing position, as Ancelotti restrategises.

Rodrygo will now move from playing on the right side of a two-man attack, to being back on the flanks.

The 4-3-3 is expected to be used against Getafe on Saturday, with Joselu getting a first start in his Real Madrid career.
