Real Madrid have been drawn in the same Champions League group as Napoli, Union Berlin and Braga.
It seems an easy group on paper, but it actually isn’t, as the three other teams play in top European leagues.
Napoli are Italian champions, while Union Berlin and Braga did well in the German Bundesliga and Portuguese league respectively.
Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno has said the club won’t underestimate their Champions League group opponents.
Butragueno said: “It’s a tough group. We know what this competition is like. Every match is a challenge and we’ll have to play at a high level to go through.
“Napoli had a magnificent season last year. They have very dangerous players and will be very tough opponents. And both Braga and Union Berlin, who we have never played against, are also two very competitive teams and it won’t be easy.
“Real Madrid always compete very well. We’ve had setbacks with injuries but those involved have that winning mentality which allows us to overcome obstacles and adversity. We are very proud of our players. Putting on that shirt means a lot.
“We play this competition with a very unique enthusiasm. Our stadium has an atmosphere for these matches which helps our players to forge unforgettable and magical nights.”
