Top Real Madrid coach could leave club to coach La Liga side

Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez, is enjoying a growing reputation as a football coach.

The 46-year-old is regarded as one of the greatest players in Real’s history, contributing 323 goals during his 741 appearances in all competitions for the Los Blancos.

He has also done well in his journey as a manager.

Raul has been with the club’s Castilla team since 2019, and is now attracting interest from Real Madrid.

After starting the season with three defeats in four matches, Villarreal have sacked manager Quique Setien.

The yellow submarines are now targeting Raul to take over.

Real Madrid have reportedly given Raul permission to hold discussions with Villarreal regarding their vacant managerial position.

Raul is highly rated, that he’s also been tipped to take over from Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid head coach next season.

Raul rose to fame as a manager after guiding the club to the UEFA Youth League in his first season.
