According to reports, Real Madrid have shown interest in Manchester City striker, Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez joined City last July from River Plate, and has impressed for the Cityzens.
The player has a long term contract till 2028 at the Etihad, but Real Madrid are preparing a move on him next summer according to Fichajes.
The Spanish side are short of a striker following the exit of Karim Benzema. French Star Kylian Mbappe is expected to make a move to Madrid next year but the club may target another forward, with Joselu joining only on loan to provide temporal cover.
Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior have been essential in the frontline for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season, with Jude Bellingham operating as a number 10 ahead of a three-man midfield.
Vinicius is currently on the sidelines through injury, though, which opened the door for Joselu to start and score in the team’s 2-1 win over Getafe before the international break.
The possibility of Haaland’s move next summer seems very unlikely, which could see Real Madrid focus their attention on his Man City teammate.
Alvarez started his professional career with River Plate, scoring 54 goals and providing 31 assists in 122 appearances for the club before making his move to Man City.
The forward has also scored seven times in his appearances for Argentina, including four goals at the 2022 World Cup, aiding his country to win the competition in Qatar.
