Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni suffered for a lack of game time last season, and seemed to have lost his place in the Madrid team after the World Cup.

It now seems that Tchouameni is back to his best for both club and country.

Tchouameni has started all four games for the Los Blancos this season, and has impressed massively, while the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric sit on the bench.

Speaking to Saber Desfarges on international duty, the former Monaco midfielder admitted he was pleased with his season so far.

He said: “Everything is going well at Real Madrid, I am performing well, and I have playing time, I am happy.

“As long as you don’t doubt yourself, and you continue to work, things will fall into place as they should.”

The 23-year-old who’s currently on international duty with France, scored a stunning goal in the comfortable win over Republic of Ireland in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Thursday evening. The Madrid man curled the ball into the bottom corner from long range to give France a 1-0 lead against Ireland. Marcus Thuram scored another to make it 2-0.
