Mason Greenwood was banished from the Manchester squad following the rape allegations from his girlfriend.

Greenwood hasn’t played football for nearly two years, but has now recently been cleared of the allegations.

The 20-year-old Manchester United academy product sealed a last-minute season-long loan deal to La Liga side, Getafe.

Getafe head coach, Jose Bordalas, has revealed that it was Jude Bellingham who recommended his compatriot to move to the La Liga.

He said: “Greenwood is Bellingham’s friend, and the latter advised him to come to the Spanish league.

“He [Greenwood] is a fantastic player. You need to be patient, calm. He has integrated sensationally well. Hopefully, he will be able to help us.”

Bellingham has done really well, as he adjusted quickly to the demands of the league.
