Luka Modric is in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid, and the veteran midfielder may have lost his starting position.
The 38-year-old is yet to start a game this season for the Los Blancos, and has sounded that he may consider his options in January.
Dinamo Zagreb president Vlatka Peras has said he’d phone Modric in January to make him an offer to return to Croatia.
“He is in the last year of his contract, I will call him in the winter. I can’t say I’m in constant contact with him, but I know members of his family,” said Peras.
“For him it would make sense to return to Dinamo at the end of his career. Without a doubt, Dinamo will do everything in its power to make this happen. Now we’ll see if that will be enough.”
