Isco spent nine years as a Real Madrid player before eventually leaving in 2022.

The Spaniard was very successful at Real, and won five Champions League titles.

Isco has had a tough time since leaving the Santiago Bernabeu, but has now found a lease of life at Real Betis, and seems to be enjoying his football.

Real Betis midfielder Isco, has said he should’ve left Real Madrid sooner than he did.

He told AS: “I don’t feel treated unfairly in recent years, even if I think I could have played more.

“Football is complex and you have to know how to adapt to every situation.

“I would like to have a good reception from the fans because Real Madrid was the most important team in my career. I have always tried to do my best, even if perhaps I should have left earlier given the situation of last season.

“But let’s learn from everything.”
